The 21-year municipal councillor, who didn’t seek re-election in 2018 , offered some words of advice and encouragement Monday as council considered a handful of funding requests, including:

• $25 million for phase one of an estimated $91-million new police station

• $10 million for a community recreation complex

• $2 million for a Bright’s Grove library hub project

• $80,000 for community doctor recruitment

• and up to $150,000 for downtown beautification.
