NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A woman is recovering after being hit by a stray bullet in East Nashville.

Authorities say a man opened fire while shooting at a vehicle driving down Sylvan Street last week.

She reportedly collapsed after being wounded in the arm.

Officers reviewed the incident captured on nearby surveillance cameras.

Court documents state that it shows the gunman pointing a gun at a red sedan and firing at least twice.

While on scene, police claim a person came up to them asking what happened.

Those questions led them to identify that individual as the alleged shooter.

Michael Johnson was arrested and faces multiple assault and weapons charges. He was also charged with violating his probation.
