LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A young boy was arrested by animal control officers in Lexington on Monday.

Two Lexington-Fayette Animal Care and Control officers were responding to a call when they say they found a young boy near a dangerous stretch of New Circle Road.

The officers kept the boy safe until police arrived.

Animal Care and Control says this is a reminder that some children especially those with autism have a hard time recognizing danger.
