WASHINGTON D.C. (KPTV) - President Donald Trump mentioned the possibility of moving 2026 FIFA World Cup events out of Seattle when asked about mayor-elect Katie Wilson on Monday.

After announcing FIFA Pass , which would expedite visa appointments for World Cup ticket holders, Trump was asked about Democratic socialist mayor-elect Wilson and how closely he would be monitoring crime in Seattle.

Trump described Wilson, who was elected to succeed Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell in November, as “more than a socialist” and a “liberal/communist,” and said he would ask FIFA President Gianni Infantino to move the matches if there’s signs of “trouble.”
