ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -A squatter continues to occupy a condemned house in Tower Grove South more than a week after the city ordered the property vacated.

The City of St. Louis condemned the property on November 7, but Joshua Brewster remains inside the vacant house, according to neighbor Kage Black. New video from Monday shows Brewster entering the home.

“We did hear that there was a notice in to have it boarded up, obviously that has not happened yet,” Black said.

The city legally must wait 10 business days after posting a condemnation notice before taking action, said John McLaughlin, who works in the city’s Building Division with problem and nuisance properties.
