Sydney Mayor Clover Moore has taken a swipe at the state government over lacklustre housing policy, after previously clashing with the NSW Premier over claims she was holding development back.

She met with 13 housing, legal, and human rights organisations to sharpen her blade, before telling Chris Minns she had the answers to protecting her council’s renters - who make up 60 per cent of all residents.

Ms Moore presented a plan to council on Monday night, calling for rental reform and specifically outlining her belief supply alone would not make housing cheaper.
