The Bergen County man charged with damaging property at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Newark last week knocked two pictures off a wall while waiting for an elevator after arriving with a metal baseball bat in his hand, court documents allege.

Keith M. Lisa, 51, of Mahwah, is charged with depredation of federal property and possessing a dangerous weapon in a federal facility for the Nov. 12 incident.

The Bergen County resident was scheduled to appear in federal court Monday, but the status of that hearing was not immediately available.

Lisa remains in custody in the Monmouth County jail, which houses federal inmates, records show. Lawyer information for the suspect was not immediately available Monday.
