Newport County, who sit bottom of League Two with 11 points after 16 games, are looking for a new manager. David Hughes, who the Exiles appointed in the summer, only secured three league wins and they are currently four points from safety.

After their 1-0 defeat at Shrewsbury Town, Hughes admitted that he was managing the club for the last time. "The reality would be it is going to be someone else's challenge moving forward," he said when speaking to BBC Radio Wales post-match .

"My time has come to an end. I understand why, we have not won enough games.
