UNC basketball continues to move up the national rankings as Thanksgiving week closes in on the calendar.

The Tar Heels (4-0) improved from No. 20 in the USA TODAY Sports coaches poll on Nov. 10 to No. 19 on Nov. 17. In the second week of UNC's fifth season with head coach Hubert Davis, the Heels had blowout wins against Radford and N.C. Central .

Senior guard Seth Trimble is the leader of a group that includes 11 newcomers. Trimble will be out for the immediate future after sustaining a broken forearm injury on Nov. 9 during a team workout, but the 19th-ranked Tar Heels showed their depth in the two games without their captain.
