After the North Dakota Farm Bureau annual meeting, scheduled for Nov. 21-22, Daryl Lies isn't sure exactly what his life will look like.

"I don't know what I'm gonna do with all my free time," he said.

Lies has been president of NDFB since December 2015 and served in the organization for years before that. He has announced he is not running for reelection. Current directors Val Wagner and Lucas Lang have announced they will run for the post at the annual meeting. He said eight to 12 years leading an organization is the sweet spot, and he's happy with the financial and policy situation he's leaving NDFB in.
