A band of wintry weather will bring snow and rain to southwest and southern Michigan early on Tuesday, Nov. 18, before moving to the southeast region of the state.

" Icy spots are possible due to the wintry mix of rain, snow, sleet, and freezing rain . The best chances are on bridges and overpasses as they will be closer to air temperatures," the National Weather Service said on X on Nov. 18. "However a good burst of sleet can quickly overcome the warm ground temperatures. Use caution and give yourself a little extra travel time this morning."

A special weather statement is in place for southeast and mid-Michigan. Up to a half inch of snow is expected to accumulate in some areas.

The rain-snow mix is forecast mainly over Allegan, Barry, Eaton, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Calhoun and Jacks
