52 places in England set for snow before the end of the week have been announced by the Met Office. The forecasting agency has issued a string of yellow alerts for snow and ice as we head deeper into November.

On Wednesday, November 19, and Thursday, November 20, more flurries are anticipated across swathes of England - with 52 towns and cities encompassed by the warnings, which will expire at 11.59pm on Thursday night.

Areas at risk stretch from the North of England, both North East and North West, to East Midlands, and even pockets of the south. Further afield, a swathe of Scotland and Wales and Northern Ireland also look to be hit.
