GILTNER, Neb. (KSNB) - A Giltner Public Schools sixth grader won the Nebraska Department of Transportation’s ‘Name a Snow-Plow’ competition with his entry “Tri-Cera Frost.”
Isaiah Hogan’s name was selected from 4,500 entries submitted to NDOT’s contest. He was presented on Monday morning in front of his classmates with a certificate, a letter from NDOT and a small model snow plow.
Hogan also got to climb aboard the truck and help unveil the new name on the door, before he and his classmates signed the front of the plow.
Superintendent Matt Gordon said the ceremony provided a good opportunity to take a break from usual studying to celebrate a creative student.
