HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - A September incident where a six-year-old boy was left on a bus was not discussed at a previously scheduled school board meeting.
Local4 reported on Monday that a first grader was left alone on a bus for over an hour back in September. At the Red Cloud Community Schools board meeting later that night, the incident was not addressed.
Over 30 citizens attended the meeting, some specifically there to find out what has been done to prevent this kind of incident from happening again.
“Nobody wants their kid in a situation where they could be in danger,” said Mike Hynek, a farmer with multiple children currently enrolled in Red Cloud Community Schools. “It’s not the situation we’re in, it’s how do we handle it? We got by this one. What are we gonna do differently so
