WASHINGTON — U.S. Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va., announced Tuesday that she has nominated 30 high school seniors from 12 West Virginia counties for admission to the nation's premier military service academies.
The nominees were selected by a board chosen by Capito after reviewing applications, interviewing candidates, and making recommendations.
The students were nominated to the U.S. Military Academy (West Point), the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
