SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Zoox has begun testing its robotaxi service with members of the public on San Francisco streets. On Tuesday, the Amazon-owned autonomous taxi service launched its Zoox Explorers program, inviting members of the public to get on a waitlist to be among the first to ride in SF.

Zoox's Explorers program invites people to ride in the vehicles for free and share feedback with the Zoox team. The program was designed to help Zoox refine the experience as the company ramps up to rollout service in San Francisco.
