(KRON) -- A Scratchers ticket worth $5 million that was sold in the North Bay on Valentine’s Day has now been fully claimed, the California Lottery announced Monday.
The lucky winner, Edy Giron Ruiz, bought the Maximum Millions Scratchers from Husary’s 76 gas station in Sebastopol after wrapping up a work day with his brothers, according to lottery officials. When he scanned his ticket, a flash of disbelief was immediately followed by joy.

“When I scanned it and saw what it said, I couldn’t believe it,” Ruiz said. “I was with my brothers and we all celebrated together.”
