After an expedient search for the next El Paso Independent School District superintendent, the Board of Trustees has named a sole candidate for the post following preliminary interviews.

According to a news release, "last night, the Board of Trustees voted unanimously to select Dr. Brian Lusk as the lone finalist for Superintendent of Schools of El Paso ISD," the statement said.

All seven members of the board signed the news release that noted the board was committed to a comprehensive search that placed students and the community at the forefront.
