RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - A man has been arrested on charges of kidnapping and false imprisonment after a woman reported he had bound her before she escaped his vehicle.

At around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, officers with the Reno Police Department responded to Saint Mary’s for a woman who told them 35-year-old Diego Ortega Noria had kidnapped her.

Noria was located on Monday, within 34 hours of the alleged kidnapping.

Noria is now facing charges of second-degree kidnapping and false imprisonment and was booked into the Washoe County Jail.

RPD says the suspect may have targeted other victims in the past, and an investigation into Noria is now underway.
