Honda is recalling over 256,600 Accord Hybrid vehicles in the United States due to a software error that could lead to a sudden loss of drive power. The recall affects certain models from 2023 to 2025, as reported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). This software glitch may cause the internal system to reset while driving, increasing the risk of crashes or injuries.

As of mid-January 2025, Honda had received 674 warranty claims related to this problem but reported no crashes or injuries.
