The boyfriend of trans influencer Girlalala has been charged with her murder.

Shanoyd Whyte Jr, 25, is facing a first-degree murder charge in connection with the death of the 21-year-old social media star, who had around 288,000 followers on TikTok and had amassed more than 15 million likes.

Girlalala was shot on Friday (14 November), in the southern Florida city of Lauderdale Lakes and was discovered inside the passenger seat of a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office. She was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
