SOUTH SHORE, Ky. (WSAZ) - The southbound lane of the U.S. Grant Bridge is currently shut down between Portsmouth, Ohio, and South Shore, KY, according to South Shore Mayor Cheryl Moore.
The southbound lane is closed from now until Friday, November 21, but weather could affect this.
Southbound traffic wanting to get to Kentucky can detour to the Carl Perkins Bridge.
The southbound lane closure is for the removal of the temporary water line and barriers on the bridge from Portsmouth to South Shore.
The permanent water line is now buried in the Ohio River.
