Conspiracy theories flooded social media when Cloudflare suffered an outage early Tuesday , causing problems for users on platforms including X, Donald Trump’s Truth Social platform and ChatGPT.

In an email shared with Newsweek , a spokesperson for the internet services company said: "Many of Cloudflare's services experienced a significant outage today beginning around 10:20 UTC. It was fully resolved at 14:30 UTC. The root cause of the outage was a configuration file that is automatically generated to manage threat traffic."

The issue was fixed in six hours, but that didn't stop the conspiracy theorists, who linked the outage with the Epstein files vote in Congress.
