Montreal Mayor Soraya Martinez Ferrada announced the city’s new executive committee on Tuesday, bringing together new and familiar faces from all parties at city hall.
During a ceremony at city hall, Martinez Ferrada made a point to note the committee has gender parity and described it as “non-partisan” given the inclusion of opposition members.
“Montrealers have high expectations,” Martinez Ferrada said as she addressed the committee’s new members. “We need to maximize every dollar and make every decision in their best interest.”
Overall, the new executive committee brings together 14 members, including Martinez Ferrada, and seven associate councillors.
