A 'school age' boy was found with 81 wraps of suspected drugs and a 'large hunting knife' after a police chase, Greater Manchester Police revealed today.

The boy was said to have been spotted by officers 'acting suspiciously' in the Radcliffe area of Bury .

The force said he ran away, but was chased down and searched. He was subsequently found with around 48 wraps of 'brown material' and 33 wraps of 'white powder' - all suspected of being Class A drugs.

A small amount of cannabis and what the force called a 'large hunting knife' were also discovered.

It's understood the boy was arrested at the scene. No age for him - or exact an location of the incident - have been given by GMP.
