JACKSON, MI — A Jackson man accused of seeking sex from a teen he met online has pleaded guilty as charged.
Steven James Lally pleaded guilty Nov. 14 to accosting a child for immoral purposes, using a computer to commit a crime, distribution of child sexually abusive material and possession of methamphetamine, court records show.
As part of a plea agreement, the court agrees to sentence Lally to the middle of his sentencing guidelines, projected to be a year and seven months to three years and two months in prison.
Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 28 before Jackson County Circuit Judge John McBain. Lally remains in the Jackson County Jail with bond set at $250,000.
