The Taubman Company LLC will permanently close its corporate office in Bloomfield Hills in January 2026, laying off more than 100 employees.

According to a WARN notice filed with the state last week, the job losses will begin Jan. 9, with 105 employees ultimately affected at the Bloomfield Hills office at 200 East Long Lake Road.

The closure, first reported by Crain's Detroit Business, follows Simon Property Group’s acquisition of Taubman Realty Group, finalized earlier this month when Simon acquired the remaining 12% interest in Taubman in exchange for 5.06 million limited‑partnership units. It's a deal that began in 2020.
