NEW YORK (KCTV) - Star Kansas freshman guard Darryn Peterson won’t suit up for the Jayhawks Tuesday night as No. 24 KU plays in the Champions Classic.
Head coach Bill Self and KU Athletics released a statement Tuesday afternoon announcing that Peterson would not play against No. 3 Duke in their game at Madison Square Garden.
“Darryn continues to make progress from his hamstring strain,” Self said in a release. “He will be reevaluated at the end of the week.”
Peterson has missed the past two regular season games for the Jayhawks due to the injury and also missed another preseason exhibition.
