OAKLAND, Ky. – One person is dead following a collision that occurred in Oakland on Monday evening.

Warren County Sheriff Brett Hightower confirmed authorities were investigating a two-vehicle collision that took place on Glasgow Road.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office has since confirmed the identity of the victim as that of 57-year-old Stacy Merideth of Scottsville.

Hightower says one person was flown from the scene to a Nashville area hospital, while the other occupant(s) were taken by ambulance. According to authorities, after being transported, one of the male victims, Merideth, succumbed to his injuries.
