NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Lime is offering free rides to food banks from now until the end of the year.

The shared bike and scooter company says it is offering the deal to help families grapple with the “lingering effects of the shutdown,” during which vital SNAP benefits were paused.

Any Nashville rider can use the promo code “SUPPORTNASHVILLE” for four 30-minute rides to and from food banks and community centers city-wide.

“No one should have to worry about how they’ll get to a food bank, especially around the holidays,” said Lilli Krauss, Senior Regional Lead of Government Relations for Lime.

They say the LimeBikes and LimeGliders have wide front baskets that are perfect for carrying groceries home.
