A black bear chased a boy into a Family Dollar store in Fayette County Monday and “moseyed” around the store for under a half hour before leaving.
Once inside the store, the bruin didn’t injure anyone, nor did it destroy any merchandise, according to Cheyane Carson, assistant store manager at the Family Dollar in Markleysburg. She was not present during the incident but spoke to workers and the boy’s father.
The boy, Cole Frazee, 11, was in the store while his father was in his truck in the store’s parking lot, KDKA -TV reported.
Cole was not attacked, but he was initially chased by the black bear, Ms. Carson said.
“The bear came out of nowhere, the dad told me. He saw the bear at the end of the store, and it wasn’t aggressive," she said.
In the meantime, Cole was shopping and waiting
