KINDER, La. (KPLC) - A Kinder man who was wanted on several counts, including attempted murder, is now behind bars.

Today, authorities arrested Blayne Smith on the following counts:

Attempted second-degree murder

First-degree rape

Aggravated kidnapping

Domestic abuse battery

Battery of a dating partner

Cyberstalking - electronic communication

Resisting an officer

Theft

Possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies

Illegal use of weapons

Disturbing the peace

Illegal possession of Schedule II drug

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle

Since May, the Allen Parish Sheriff’s Office has been working several cases involving Smith, APSO said.
