HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - A Hastings woman was cited for failure to yield after a collision with a semi truck Tuesday morning at a busy intersection.

Hastings police said the crash happened at the intersection of Highway 281 and 42nd Street.

Capt. Jason Haase said a Hastings woman was traveling northbound on the highway and attempting to turn left onto 42nd Street when a semi truck driven by a 72-year-old man was heading southbound on Highway 281.

He said the vehicle pulled in front of the semi truck, and the two collided.

Hastings police issued a citation to the woman for failure to yield while making a left-hand turn. She was taken to Mary Lanning Healthcare for non-life-threatening injuries.
