ASCENSION PARISH, La. (WAFB) - Funeral services have been announced for fallen Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Deputy Joshua Dunaway.

According to the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, there will be a public viewing and service for Deputy Dunaway on Friday, November 21.

The public viewing will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by the service at Fellowship Church on Highway 73 in Prairieville.

According to Louisiana State Police, Deputy Dunway was killed in a crash while riding his motorcycle late Friday night, November 14. He was off-duty at the time.

A procession was held on Tuesday morning, November 18, to take Dunaway’s body from Jefferson Parish to the Ourso Funeral Home in Ascension Parish. Many members of the public lined the streets to show their support for the fallen dep
