LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

The first hospital west of Ninth Street in more than a century in Louisville is celebrating a milestone: hitting its one-year mark.

The $90 million Norton West Louisville Hospital at 28th and Broadway has been a promise fulfilled.

Year one saw nearly 60,000 patient visits, 12,000 meals provided through its food pantry, more than 53,000 prescriptions filled, and more than 2,000 patients connected to supportive services from housing to employment.

Beyond data, the true success of Norton West is its compassion and care for this community. There are written reminders of the staff’s "why" displayed on banners in the building.
