TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - The city of Tucson completed the final phase of cleanup at 100-Acre Wood Bike Park Tuesday morning, removing the last homeless encampments.
The move was ahead of the planned rennovations of the park, which start on Wednesday.
Outreach workers cleared more than 50 people, pets, and belongings from the remaining encampments at the park, which has been a hot spot for homelessness for years. City leaders said they removed roughly 120 tons of trash.
