LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - On Tuesday, the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce held a panel on working parents.
Leaders and community members gathered to take a closer look at how childcare access is impacting Michigan’s workforce, and how employers can implement childcare in the workplace.
“We have the science and the statistics that show that 80% of brain development is already happening by the time the child is three. 90% by the time they are five years old,” said Jacqueline Taylor, founder of Little Dreamers Early Academy.
“And so it’s really critical and important that we really make a strong investment in that early start. Because we understand that if we can master it in the early years, they’ll do well in adolescence, teens, and adulthood, and so on and so forth.”
