LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Two weeks after the UPS crash that killed 14 people, demolished buildings, and disrupted lives and businesses, clean up and repairs continue slowly.

“While the NTSB has released the site, that doesn’t mean that they’ve released the evidence,” Metro Emergency Service Executive Director Jody Meiman said. “Every piece of that aircraft has to be found, collected and packaged, and taken away properly by the contractor that’s on site doing that.”

And removing the aircraft is only one challenge.

Restoring utilities to some customers depends on the replacement of a damaged gas pipeline on Grade Lane.
