LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Louisville football is on a two-game losing skid, knocking the Cardinals out of the AP Top 25 and making them an underdog as they prepare to play SMU this weekend.

The Cardinals are a 2.5-point underdog heading into Saturday's game in Dallas.

The Mustangs share a similar 7-3 record with Louisville, but they're coming into the matchup on a two-game winning streak.

Sitting at 5-1 in conference play, SMU is still in contention to make the ACC Championship and possibly the College Football Playoff.

The Cardinals and Mustangs have put up similar numbers on offense this season, averaging around 400 total yards per game. The Mustangs have found the end zone four more times, scoring 38 touchdowns so far this year.
