SEATTLE — A 17-year-old boy was shot in Seattle on Tuesday night, according to the Seattle Police Department (SPD). The suspect, or suspects, remain on the run.
The shooting occurred near South Adams Street and Rainier Avenue South around 7:15 p.m.
SPD said the victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
The suspect, or suspects, fled from the scene before police arrived and have not been found, SPD said.
Police are investigating what led up to the shooting.
Seattle's Department of Transportation said police activity is blocking all lanes of Rainier Avenue South at South Adams Street and drivers are urged to take alternate routes.
