Members of the Rowan County Board of Elections deliberate on Friday.

SALISBURY — The Rowan County Board of Elections set the early voting schedule for the upcoming 2026 primaries on Friday, approving a plan that adds an extra Saturday and Sunday to the legally required schedule.

Early voting will begin on Thursday, Feb. 12 and run through Saturday, Feb. 28. Poll sites will be open Monday through Friday both weeks from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The sites will also be open on two Saturdays, Feb. 14 and Feb. 28, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on the first Sunday, Feb. 15, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The Rowan County Board of Elections office in the Rowan Community Center, 1935 Jake Alexander Blvd. W., Salisbury

The Rowan Public Library – South Branch, 920 Kimbal
