Heavy to very heavy rain occurred at isolated places over Kerala till evening of yesterday (Tuesday) evening while it was heavy at isolated places over Tamil Nadu as a rain-maker low-pressure area shifted its location east of Sri Lanka to west, an India Meteorological Department (IMD) update said.

On Tuesday, rain occurred at most places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal; at many places over Kerala and Mahe; Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam; Rayalaseema; South Interior Karnataka; and Lakshadweep.
