CRASH
1500 BLOCK DOUGLAS HIGHWAY: Police responded to a four-car pileup Monday evening after a 53-year-old man, distracted because he was texting while driving, crashed his 2007 Chevy into a 2014 Subaru driven by a 74-year-old man who was stopped due to construction in the area, Police Deputy Chief Brent Wasson said. The crash caused the Subaru to move forward, hitting a 2025 Toyota driven by a 36-year-old woman. The Toyota was then pushed into a 2018 Audi driven by a 51-year-old woman. All four vehicles had damage, and the Subaru was disabled and had to be towed from the scene. EMS responded but no injuries were reported. The 53-year-old man was ticketed for texting while driving.
