Met Office maps snow where the snow will hit the UK in the coming days. Wednesday and Thursday, November 19 and November 20, could see heavy flurries of the white stuff sweeping over the country as the temperatures plunge.

Met Office weather maps show yellow and amber warnings for the south west of England, the Midlands, North West and North East, as well as some parts of the Home Counties.

But counties spared include Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Wiltshire, Bedfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Kent, Essex, Surrey, Sussex, and Hampshire, according to blank blotches on the Met Office radar maps this week.
