Motorists have been warned of delays on the M6 this morning following a crash between two cars and a van.

National Highways West Midlands has warned that traffic is building on the northbound stretch of motorway between junction 8 for M5 and junction 9 for Wednesbury.

Emergency crews were first called to the collision at around 6.25am this morning (Wednesday, November 19). It is not yet clear how many people were hurt in the incident.

Drivers have been told to allow extra time this morning as delays of around 90 minutes remain in place at time of writing.
