Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a warm welcome as he arrived in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, on Wednesday amid chants of “Sai Ram”. The visit included prayers at Prasanthi Nilayam and participation in a Gaudan ceremony organised by the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust.
Prasanthi Nilayam, meaning the ‘Abode of the Highest Peace,’ is the main ashram and final resting place (Samadhi Mandir) of Sathya Sai Baba.
In a post on X, PM Modi said, “Paid homage to Sri Sathya Sai Baba at the Sai Kulwant Hall, Prasanthi Nilayam and went to Omkar Hall for Darshan. Being in these sacred spaces is a reminder of his boundless compassion and lifelong commitment to uplifting humanity. His message of selfless service continues to guide and inspire millions.”
The Prime Minister also took part in the Gaudan
