Sunderland have made a brilliant start to the Premier League season and are unbeaten at home in the top flight.

Former Sunderland midfielder Don Hutchison believes the Black Cats will be favourites heading into this year's Tyne-Wear derby despite only returning to the top-flight back in the summer. Regis Le Bris' side currently sits in fourth place in the Premier League, with 19 points from their opening 11 games.

The Wearsiders have beaten Chelsea away from home and came from behind to earn a dramatic late point against league leaders Arsenal prior to the international break. Despite being the favourites to go down at the start of the season, Sunderland are now being tipped by some to qualify for European football.
