"Dancing With the Stars" is heading into its Season 34 finale, and one star won't be coming with.
After the ballroom was doused in purple in a night celebrating the late music icon Prince, "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" star Whitney Leavitt, with professional partner Mark Ballas, was eliminated.
Leavitt, 32, and Ballas, 39, performed a fun and flirtatious cha cha routine to Prince's "1999" and a romantic Viennese waltz to "Slow Love." But despite having among the top scores throughout the season – including over remaining contestants Dylan Efron, Elaine Hendrix and Jordan Chiles – the sleek performances weren't enough to not get sent home.
Leavitt told "Good Morning America" in a clip that she didn't think she would "make it this far," and while Ballas would continue to assure her, he said, "Sometimes you get gut feelings."
"We've had a great time and had some really fun moments on this show. And that's what it's all about," he continued. "And yes, it sucks to fall at the last hurdle, but you have a stacked finale. Great couples. It's gonna be an amazing show next week. And I made a friend for life."
Leavitt added: "Friendship hello! He's not getting rid of me."
The influencer was the last of the two "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" contestants on the show, after Jen Affleck and partner Jan Ravnik were eliminated in Week 7.
