A man in his twenties has been charged following a horrific knife attack on the southside of the city, which claimed a woman's life and left a man with serious injuries.

The victims were identified locally on Tuesday as Stella and Brian Gallagher, who had been residing in Shrewsbury Downs, Ballinlough, for over two decades.
