MORGANTOWN W.Va. — The Monongalia County Board of Education moved through a full agenda during its regular meeting Tuesday evening, hearing updates from local organizations, approving financial software contracts, and addressing personnel needs, including the creation of a new bus operator position.

The meeting opened with community presentations, beginning with WVU Extension’s 4-H program. Agent Becca Fint Clark described ongoing youth service efforts, noting that 4-H members spent the day distributing clothes, toiletries, and winter supplies at Cheat Lake.

One speaker told the board, “We select some seniors every year so we can help them out this winter because not everybody’s fortunate enough,” adding thanks for the board’s continued support of the program.
